Born and raised in Perth, Dr Claudia Marino graduated from University of Western Australia, firstly with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and then with a Doctor of Dental Medicine.
She began working at LifeCare Dental during her Dental Medicine degree, first assisting senior dentists and then in her final year assisting Principal Dentist Dr Alex. She found the experience invaluable, and truly believes the mission statement ‘high quality care in a timely manner’ is a minimum standard that patients should come to expect from herself, and her colleagues.
Especially fond of preventive intervention, Claudia enjoys all aspects of Dentistry, and finds treating the nervous patient particularly fulfilling. She has seen how a transformed smile can truly spark a changed life course for the patient, both during her experience in the metropolitan public sector and through assisting other dentists. You’ll be met with a relaxed, open and unprejudiced approach to match her energetic personality, and even under the mask she wears a smile.
When not in the surgery, you will find Claudia in the kitchen, where she loves to experiment with traditional recipes reflecting her Italian heritage. She also enjoys immersing herself in the cultural offerings of Perth and socialising with friends in the newest restaurants, pop ups, markets, street festivals and bars.
In years to come, Claudia wishes to pursue further training to offer complex orthodontic, prosthodontics and surgical treatment to patients. She is also keen on pursuing local charity work as a way to give back to the community in which she was raised.
