Originally Joanne thought she would become a forensic scientist and studied broad based science at the University of Western Australia, majoring in Microbiology and Anatomy and Human Biology. She then went on to complete her honours researching the role of a death gene in breast cancer before realising that her passion lay within dentistry.
To be sure that another five years of study would secure her dream job Joanne began her career at LifeCare as a Dental Nurse and continued in this role until she qualified as a Dentist in 2007.
Joanne is a big believer in professional development and has travelled far and wide to be internationally trained and up to date with the latest in dental research and development. As well as being qualified in ‘Implant dentistry’ she is certified in teeth straightening systems such as Invisalign’ and ‘Inman’.
Dentistry for Joanne brings her naturally creative mind and personality together with her passion for science.
Personal development is equally as important as professional development and when Joanne isn’t working she is passionate about travel and loves nothing more than to experience new places, cultures and the culinary delights that come along with them.
To keep a well-balanced life Joanne loves nothing more than the great outdoors whether that is running along the river or beach or even doing yoga. She finds the peace and serenity of horse riding to be a perfect escape from City life.
